 Fine Art and Quilt Show

 A Bottineau County Fine Art and Quilt Show  is scheduled to take place on Friday and Saturday  during the Bottineau City and County Quasquicentennial  from 12 noon to 4 p.m.  The event will take place at MSU-Bottineau - Thatcher Hall  utilizing the Art Room and hallways on the first and second floor for the Fine Arts and in the Conference Room for the Quilt display.

 If you are a Quilter or Visual Artist (either amateur or professional) and if you ARE or HAVE BEEN a Bottineau County  resident and would be willing to display your talents in this County-Wide show you are cordially invited to  to fill out a Registration Form. Please do so right away or far in advance so the committee can plan its display needs.  This event is intended for adults 18 and older. Those younger can display their work at the Bottineau County Fair the same week.  A maximum of 5 entries will be accepted and our deadline for applications is May 31st.

The following are a few guidelines:

 DRAWINGS -

 Includes all types, including mixed media, ink, colored pencil, charcoal, graphite, etc. Sizes may vary. Needs to me matted or framed. List how many and each size. 

 PAINTINGS -

 Includes oil, acrylic, gouache, watercolor, etc. Sizes may vary. Needs to be matted and/or framed. List how many and each size. 

STAINED GLASS -

Includes all finished pieces framed with wood or metal . These will be displayed on easels. (Please supply if you have any.) Sizes may vary.

SCULPTURES -

 Includes wood, clay, metal, etc. Sizes may vary. Do you have a pedestal or object for eye-level display? Are any of your sculptures suitable for outdoor display? (For ex. - Can any of them be displayed along the sidewalk  as people walk into Thatcher? (Display will be monitored.)  List size and how many.

 PHOTOGRAPHY -

Includes all subjects and sizes of photography, not to exceed 30”high. Need to be matted and ready for display.  All Photography will be displayed on slanted tables in the Art Room in Thatcher Hall on campus. Please list sizes and how many. If you have an entry exceeding 30” high that you would like to display please contact Committee Chairman for special display arrangements. 

QUILTING -

Includes all sizes and shapes.  Styles can vary anywhere from Modern to Traditional or Artsy to Antique, etc. All entries must be finished. Display needs will be supplied by the Committee.

(THIS IS NOT A JUDGED SHOW AND THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE.)

Registered applicants are requested to bring their entries to Thatcher Hall, MSU-B, the day before the show on Thursday, June 18th, 2009 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and entries need to be picked up immediately following the closing of the show on Sat., June 20th between 4 and 5 p.m.
