CENTENNIAL PARADE

Please join us in the parade on June 20, 2009, for the 125th Centennial!

Bottineau County and the City of Bottineau are celebrating their quasquicentennial (125th) in 2009. The focal celebrations for both will be held at the county seat…Bottineau, ND…on June 18-21, 2009. We cordially invite you to take part in the CENTENNIAL PARADE scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2009.

Pierre Bottineau will serve as the Grand Marshal.

We would welcome every and any entry – parade vehicle or float, horses, antique cars, wagons, bands, fire trucks, school class reunion groups, boats, farm machinery, etc. – whatever would cover the span of 1884 to 2009! Decorate colorfully and add music, if possible.

 There is no entry fee.

We request you register in advance, because we will need information about your float that can be read by the emcees to the audience over a PA system. You may distribute free items…but please use care and caution!

Each entry will be issued a number on a “first-come, first served” basis and lined up in that order. Those without a number will be at the end of the parade. Your number, directions for making and attaching your number to your entry; as well as what time and where to line up will be sent to you as soon as we receive your entry.

Bring your family and friends for a great time of musical entertainment, food, dancing, sports competitions, antique car show, kids games, rifle raffle, tours, etc.

All centennial events are being held the same weekend as North Dakota’s first and oldest county fair…the Bottineau County Fair!
