Bottineau City and County 125th Celebration

“Trip of a Lifetime Tours”

June 18th and 19th, 2009

Join us for a scenic, fun filled tour of Bottineau County. We will be conducting two tours during the centennial celebration for anyone wanting to visit special places of interest. Let us be your guide as we take a ride on Charter Buses to the various points of interest. The buses will load each day at 8:30 a.m. at the Bottineau High School Parking lot next to the bus barn. Lunch will be provided each day with the cost being covered in your tour fee.

Thursday, June 18th, 2009 – West Bottineau County Tour

1st Stop MoJo Roast – 6 miles south of Westhope.

(Learn all about coffee and roasting of beans from a local vendor)

2nd Stop Ward Williston – Westhope

(Oil industry in the Westhope employing new technologies)

3rd Stop Gateway Hotel – Westhope

(Visit a community Landmark and see the community efforts after being destroyed by a fire)

4th Stop DEVA Lifewear – Westhope

(Visit a company that manufactures natural fiber clothing – a hidden gem – be sure to bring money!)

5th Stop Schepps’ Dakota Deli – Lansford – Noon Lunch will be served

(Noon lunch at Lansford, served by local manufacturer, distributor and caterer of wet salads.)

6th Stop Sund Manufacturing – Newburg

(Bottineau County Pioneer Manufacturer and Inventory – see what they are up to)

Back home at approximately 3:00 p.m.

Friday, June 19th, 2009 – East Bottineau County Tour

1st Stop Salem Lutheran Church (Highway 43)

(A historic country church that has been restored)

2nd Stop Metigoshe Ministries – Morning Coffee will be served

(See all the changes of this very unique beautiful Christian retreat at Lake Metigoshe)

3rd Stop Lake Metigoshe State Park

(A quick look as we drive through the park and possibly a short break)

4th Stop Mystical Horizons – Highway 43 – Noon Lunch will be served

(A 21st Century Stonehenge right in the Turtle Mountains of Bottineau a must see – spectacular views)

5th Stop Swedish Lutheran Stone Church

(We will be close to the Canadian Border – visit the oldest stone church in the county)

6th Stop Turtle Mountain Pork Farm

(Drive by and quick visit overview from the Farm Manager)

Back Home at approximately 2:30 p.m.
